The EuroCham team, led by Chairman Tassilo Brinzer, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Mr. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister, First Vice-Chairman Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) on 7 August 2024.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Brinzer highlighted recent positive developments, including the groundbreaking of the Funan Techo Canal Project, which started as a vision while H.E. Sun Chanthol was Minister of Public Works and Transport.
“I am sure that the canal, alongside the many other government initiatives and reforms launched in the past 12 months, yields the results we all expect for the kingdom’s ongoing economic growth and development,” Mr. Brinzer said.
During the meeting, which was attended by the 8 sectoral members, EuroCham directly addressed business concerns and challenges relevant to several industries, including the automotive, transport, tourism, and real estate sectors. To ease the challenges faced by the private sector in these and other sectors, the CDC replied that it would disseminate these concerns to relevant line ministries.
