EuroCham Cambodia, represented by its Committee Chairman, Mr. Bunthan Suy, and Advocacy Coordinator Mr. Joachim Dautais, attended the Dissemination Workshop of the Study Report on Logistics Cost 2023 and the Conducting of a New Logistics Cost Survey for 2024 on the 21st October 2024.
The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT), in partnership with JICA, conducted a survey involving the private sector, including members of the EuroCham Transports & Logistics Committee, to assess the logistics landscape in Cambodia, including costs and the time required to ship goods to and from the country.
In addition to disseminating the survey results, the MPWT and JICA gathered feedback from the private sector on how to optimize the survey for 2024. The private sector urged the MPWT to include and anticipate unofficial fees, as well as additional official requirements that contribute to companies’ logistics budgets but fall under the purview of the MPWT, such as costs related to the Certificate of Origin.
