On January 16th, the EuroCham Automotive Committee members met for the first time in 2025 to discuss the committee’s plans and upcoming activities.
The meeting starts with a presentation by committee chairman Mr. Chhoeurn Makara, providing detailed updates about the Automotive Industry & Market Overview. As a result in 2024, there was a noticeable increase in total sales figures compared to previous periods. New vehicle sales have also exhibited a positive trend. Similarly, the market share of electric vehicles has seen an increase. Mr. Makara also offered a thorough Automotive Policy Update, delving into the latest regulations, especially their potential implications for the industry.
The next committee actions and advocacy works were then discussed, outlining strategic initiatives and developmental areas that the committee plans to focus on this year.
Lastly, following the success in 2023, the committee will organize a Breakfast Talk titled “Automotive Sector Outlook for 2025 and Beyond,” scheduled for March 4th, 2025. Further information will be communicated at a later date.
