On March 12, EuroCham participated in a stakeholder consultation hosted by the Ministry of Health at Novotel to provide feedback on the first draft of Cambodia’s new pharmaceutical law.
This important legislation aims to strengthen patient safety by setting clear guidelines on registration processes, pharmacovigilance, packaging, and advertising—ensuring a comprehensive regulatory framework for the entire pharmaceutical supply chain.
Representing EuroCham, Ms. Sor Samnangvathana, Co-Chair of the Healthcare Committee, and Mr. Joachim Dautais, Advocacy Coordinator, actively contributed to discussions, emphasising key concerns regarding nationality requirements and retail price control. These issues were highlighted as essential to fostering a balanced and effective regulatory environment that supports both local and international pharmaceutical stakeholders.
With the first draft of the Law on Pharmaceutical, some of the recommendations published in the EuroCham Whitebook received partial updates.
EuroCham remains committed to advocating for a fair and transparent business environment in Cambodia’s healthcare sector.
