EuroCham’s Agribusiness Committee, led by Chairman Eugene Kraamwinkel held a meeting on 9 August to discuss the following points:
- MAFF Meeting: On 26 June, 2024, EuroCham’s Agribusiness Committee held a consultation meeting with 𝐇.𝐄. 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐤 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries (MAFF). The committee brought up the six policy recommendations outlined in the 2024 White Book Chapter, to which H.E. Prak David responded positively, saying he would look deeper into the issues.
- During the meeting, Undersecretary of State 𝐇.𝐄. 𝐌𝐫. 𝐊𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧, who is responsible for establishing Modern Agriculture Cooperatives (ACs) in Cambodia, suggested holding workshops on Modern ACs to raise awareness on the topic.
- The current Agribusiness Committee leadership’s term is ending, with elections to choose new leadership scheduled for Friday, 6th September.
