The Automotive Committee of EuroCham met for the second time this year on Thursday, 4 April to discuss recommendations for the forthcoming 2023 White Book.
The committee’s White Book recommendations this year will focus on:
– Optimising tax policies;
– Raising vehicle standards
– Improving information sharing processes
– Implementing online registrations for standard licenses
The committee also discussed recent meetings with H.E. Dr. Khun Nhem, Minister attached to the Prime Minister and Director General of the General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE), and H.E. Cham Prasidh, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation. During these meetings, grey imports and tax policies for electric vehicles were discussed, as well as international vehicle standards.
Led by Makara Chhoeurn and Kjeld Olsen, the committee is looking forward to offering solutions on these issues
