On 16 August, EuroCham’s Automotive Committee, led by Chairman Mr. Chhoeurn Makara, visited the Institute of Standards of Cambodia (ISC) to meet with H.E. Mr. Chan Sopha, Director General of the ISC, and his team.
On the agenda were discussions about emissions standards, the state of the EV industry, and upcoming automotive regulations.
Currently, Cambodia’s emission standards are centered around Euro 4 (European emission standards) with plans to introduce Euro 5 standards by 2027. Both sides committed to working together as the auto industry in Cambodia undergoes changes and makes room for a new rush of EVs to hit the market.
