Dialogue on the World Bank’s findings on the Cambodian Logistics Performance Index

On Tuesday February 4 representatives of the World Bank met with Cambodian leadership at the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) to present findings from the latest  World Bank Cambodia Country Manager Tanya Meyer attended alongside Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and the CDC First Vice President. Bunthan Suy, Chairman of EuroCham’s  represented the chamber at the gathering.
The annual report ranks countries on a criterion of logistics, transportation and customs metrics to determine current performance and areas to be improved. Presented by World Bank Senior Economist Christina Wiederer, the latest version of the report noted improvements in the competence and quality of Cambodia’s logistics sector despite ongoing challenges. She also highlighted upcoming changes to the 2025 LPI’s methodology, notably the removal of surveys in favour of data-based KPIs.
Despite the challenges, Cambodia’s performance was only slightly below regional neighbours. World Bank’s Tanya Meyer stated she was impressed with Cambodia’s vision for its logistics future and stressed the global organisation’s “full and wholehearted support” in working towards in-depth collaboration on Cambodia’s logistics transformation.
