On the 23rd of Tuesday, EuroCham’s Real Estate and Construction Committee successfully hosted the full-day forum on the ‘Real Estate & Construction Forum: Future Cities’ at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra.
The forum has featured warm welcome remarks from Mr. Martin MCCARTHY, Vice-Chairman of EuroCham Cambodia and H. E. Dr. PEN Sophal, Secretary of State, Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction. Mr, Cassagnes and Mr McCarthy officially handover the Real Estate & Construction chapter of 2023 White Book Edition to H.E. Dr Pen Sophal and H.E. Dr Chhann Sorphal, Director – General of Construction, Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction
This forum was well received by all who attended and provided participants with expert insights, panel discussion and Q&A sessions on hot topics. The day started with a legal update presentation made by H.E. Dr Chhann Sorphal and then the outlook of market focused on office, retail, hospitality, and residential sectors. In the afternoon, four consecutive workshops took place on ‘Phnom Penh: A Green and Liveable City ?’, on ‘Innovation technology and energy saving’ ; on an ‘European development project : Deutsches Haus in Ho Chi Minh City’ and and the last one on ‘Sihanoukville vision: a model city ?’
There were also the showcase of models from Limkokwing University of Creative Technology and an exhibition on Sihanoukville’s urban plans, spanning from the past to the present, with support from Mr. David Mangin, Partner at Seura Architectes
