On Thursday 23rd November 2023, EuroCham’s Human Resources Committee, chaired by Mr. Chheav Narath held a committee meeting with all the members to discussed on a following points;
- Outcome of the Courtesy Call on H.E Minister Heng Sour: During the meeting, Mr. Chheav Narath, Chairman of HR Committee, raised a serval concerns and suggestions. He emphasized the importance of digitalizing employment contracts, improving apprenticeship and managing working overtime limits. Dr. Antoine Fontaine, Committee Vice-chairman emphasized that the private sector is open to working more closely with the Ministry and the officials on the drafting process of the law.
- 2024 White Book Edition: Following the release of the highly anticipated 2024 edition of the White Book, as part of our commitment to improving public-private dialogue, EuroCham has also introduced an innovative and interactive version of the White Book called ‘Advocacy Compass’ aims to provide a real-time update and foster greater engagement with stakeholders. The White Book has been officially handed-over to His Excellency Minister during the Courtesy meeting, which marked a crucial milestones of our advocacy effort. The White Book HR Chapter addresses a wide range of HR-related topic, reflecting the collective expertise and insight of EuroCham and its members.
- 2024 Human Resources Forum: Our committee is currently considering organizing the HR Forum 2024 for the upcoming year. This decision comes in light of the success and positive feedbacks we received from last year’s edition and EuroCham is looking for sponsors for this event. Our members will have a specific meeting to discuss on the detail of the event.
This meeting was the last meeting for the year 2023 but it was the opportunity to prepare the year 2024.
