EuroCham Cambodia and The American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia Association (AmCham) proudly hosted the Tax Forum 2024 at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra, bringing together top tax professionals, industry experts, government officials, and businesses to discuss Cambodia’s rapidly evolving tax landscape. The focus was on crucial topics such as tax reforms, audits, and appeals processes.
We were honoured to welcome H.E. Kong Vibol, Minister attached to the Prime Minister and Director General of the General Department of Taxation, who shared valuable insights into the direction of Cambodia’s tax policy.
The morning sessions kicked off with an engaging panel discussion on tax audits and a brief introduction to the EuroCham and AmCham’s Tax Committee. In the afternoon, participants joined specialized breakout sessions featuring panel discussions on key topics:
– Updates on transfer pricing
– Update on VAT in e-commerce
– Taxation of social enterprises and NGOs
– Implications of share transfers, including the impact of DTAs.
